With the BossCover Circular System, Tectum Group wants to pioneer the demand for a 100% circular, demountable and reusable roof. In this way, we want to make a positive social contribution. We strongly believe in the balance between economic results and caring for people and the environment. Indeed, we believe that investing in people and the environment today will ensure good economic results in the medium term.
"With the BossCover Circular System, we are taking a very important step in the right direction. My dream is a fully circular, functional and smart building envelope."
"... Because our desire is to reuse the membrane as waterproofing for the roof. The membrane is recovered, and therefore not recycled into another application. This innovation goes beyond recycling and represents a big step regarding circularity in the construction industry."
Flat roofs, that's our business. We make them. We distribute materials to make them. We advise on the best approach. From our sustainability value, we set out to find the roof that can be disassembled and thus simply reused or repurposed. There is no waterproofing product without fossil resources. EPDM is an inert material. That means UV radiation and weather conditions have little effect on EPDM's properties. And so EPDM, with a proven lifespan of 50 to 60 years, sometimes has a longer lifespan than the building. EPDM's long life cycle keeps fossil resources within the original product. Moreover, at 1.2 to 1.5 mm thick, EPDM is a thin There, compared to bituminous membranes, simply requires less fossil raw material to create a roof membrane.
In today's traditional systems, the waterproofing is glued (EPDM) or flamed (bitumen). Glued or flamed, if such a roof breaks down, the "glued cake" is only good for the incinerator. Ballasted roofs are partly loose-laid roofs, but they make up only a small percentage of the market. Moreover, that still leaves the bilge, upstands and eaves glued or flamed, which means the waterproofing must be damaged when removed. With the BossCover Circular System, there is no glue or flame involved. The components are mechanically anchored. In the bilge and on the eaves, they are snapped in place by our patented system.
Read all about itThe BossCover Circular System consists of several parts, which together form a single system where all the elements are coordinated. So we know in advance that all the materials used together will lead to the best result.
On March 2 at 3 p.m. we will tell (even) more about our BossCover Circular concept. Not only the technical aspects will be discussed (the "how"), we will also explain our "why". Several guest speakers will outline the context and our product specialists will elaborate on our current and future plans. What we are still planning a lot in this area!

We are a group of companies providing solutions for the building envelope of buildings within the European B2B market. We do this as a contractor of roof and façade works and as a distributor of roof and façade products. As a contractor, we operate under the name Tectum Group. In distribution, we operate with our trading companies CPE, aimed at the roofing contractor and Mawipex, aimed at the construction market trade and prefab construction industry. Under the private label BossCover, we distribute a premium range of roofing products. The combination of contractor and trade companies, and recently also our own production company, gives us a unique combination of product and implementation knowledge and experience under our Tectum roof. We use this knowledge and experience for innovations, with ESG as our "green guideline."
