Wellen Elementary School

Wellen Elementary School

The new construction of De Bron Free Elementary School in Wellen is an example of progressive, sustainable construction. Recovered PUR insulation combined with the innovative BossCover Circular System was chosen for this project, resulting in a fully circular roof. The insulation boards, taken from a building in Mechelen, were extensively tested and found to still be of high quality. This makes the project not only environmentally friendly, but also cost-efficient.

By reusing insulation material, project costs could be significantly reduced, while environmental impact was reduced by avoiding new production and waste. The BossCover Circular System supports this sustainable approach by allowing the roof to be easily disassembled and reused without loss of material or quality. The mechanical anchoring of the EPDM roofing with the BossCover Certifix ensures that even the eaves can be fixed without glue.

With this, Free Elementary School The Source sets a new standard for sustainability in the building industry. It demonstrates that circular construction is not only possible, but even offers economic benefits.
